ROCKVILLE, MD (December 4, 2014) – Governor-elect Larry Hogan (R) and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D) have respectively named Christopher B. Summers of the Maryland Public Policy Institute to prominent policy review committees.

Governor-elect Hogan this week named Summers to his transition team, which is tasked with providing the incoming governor with budget, policy, and administrative recommendations as he takes office January 21st.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake named Summers to the City of Baltimore’s Tax Policy Review Group. The group will study and make recommendations regarding the City's tax and fee structures and their impact on City residents and businesses.

“Governor-elect Hogan and Mayor Rawlings-Blake deserve credit for making tax reform a priority,” said Summers. “The path to a stronger economy runs through Maryland’s state and local tax code. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to provide Governor-elect Hogan and Mayor Rawlings-Blake sensible recommendations that put citizens and small businesses first.”
