As Director of External Relations, Jennifer Butler is responsible for developing the annual Maryland Legislative Summit. 

Butler has over 20 years of experience in the public policy arena and working on turning ideas into action. For the last 11 years she has worked with the network of free market think tanks across the country that champion policies to change communities and lives for the better. Prior to this, she headed up several trade associations’ government affairs departments in South Florida where she was an advocate for private property rights, advancement of homeownership opportunities, and limiting government interference with commercial and residential development.

A graduate of the political science department at Florida State University, she went on to earn her Master’s in public administration with an emphasis in administrative law from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Florida, Jennifer and her family have been Maryland residents for over six years.
