Transportation - Reports
Freedom of movement can strengthen businesses, empower families and encourage better use of taxpayer money. The Institute’s key recommendations for improving transportation are:
- Create a performance-based system to select transportation projects based on their contribution to congestion relief.
- Develop public-private partnerships to develop and operate major infrastructure projects.
- Prioritize lower-cost, higher-impact transit options for urban areas.
- Incentivize telecommuting and other environmentally beneficial solutions.
Through the Maryland Policy Forum, the Institute holds public forums to shed light on Maryland’s transportation challenges and opportunities.
